Disaster Recovery Overview
After disaster strikes, either natural or caused by man, the key to how well a business will recover or even if they will be able to recover at all, is their disaster recovery plan. Unrecoverable data loss can mean thousands of hours of lost work and revenue, which would put many companies out of business. Companies that might survive the loss of data would still feel a dramatic impact on their revenue numbers and brand reputation.
More than ever it is vital to have a process, like managed data backups, in place to preserve data, maintain its integrity and keep business operating unimpeded and without loss. Southern DataCorp can store valuable data in an off-site, fully redundant facility, which is ready for retrieval 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Southern DataCorp Server to Disk Backup (NSDB)
The Southern DataCorp NSDB offering provides data backup and recovery. This solution is designed for data existing on servers and/or PCs. Southern DataCorp will configure our hardware and software, within our facility, to "talk" with a server in order to backup data on a nightly basis. In the event of an emergency and a company needs to restore data, they have two options:
- They can either provide their own replacement server and Southern DataCorp will remotely restore all of the data to that server.
- A client can ask Southern DataCorp to procure a server on their behalf and restore the data prior to delivering to them a replica of the old server.
- Southern DataCorp Server to Server Backup (NSSB)
The Southern DataCorp NSSB offering provides complete server-to-server backup and recovery. This solution is designed to provide a complete, dedicated replica of your in-house server including the OS and any applications. Southern DataCorp will configure the hardware and software, within our facility, to "talk" with a server in order to backup the entire server on a nightly basis. In the event of an emergency, a backup server is needed, Southern DataCorp will express deliver a new server so a company can be up and running with minimal downtime.
